For 2017, Audi redesigns two key models, the A4 sedan and Allroad wagon, and the Q7 SUV. The R8 sports car is also totally revamped for 2017. In other news, new 3.0T Competition variants of the A6 and A7 arrive in order to preserve interest in the cars in advance of a redesign. Diesel engines vanish from the Audi lineup, and the company also rolls out next-generation Audi Connect subscription service plans and Audi Virtual Cockpit technology to more models.

2017 Audi A3/S3

  • Restyled front end with new grille, headlights, bumper
  • New LED taillights with modern Audi lighting signature
  • New aluminum wheel designs
  • Standard collision preparation and avoidance technologies called Pre Sense Basic and Pre Sense Front
  • Premium Plus and Prestige models gain standard smartphone projection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Premium Plus Technology Package adds handwriting recognition technology and rear cross-traffic assist system
  • Prestige model adds standard rear cross-traffic assist
  • Optional Audi Virtual Cockpit instrumentation


2017 Audi A4/A4 Allroad

  • Completely redesigned for 2017
  • A4 Sedan and A4 Allroad wagon variants (S4 arrives for 2018)
  • More powerful turbocharged 4-cylinder engine
  • Standard 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT)
  • Available torque-vectoring Quattro Ultra all-wheel drive (standard Allroad)
  • Allroad equipped with standard adaptive damping suspension, more ground clearance than before, upgraded underbody protection
  • Every A4 equipped with leather, power sunroof, triple-zone climate control, LED ambient cabin lighting
  • Optional Audi Virtual Cockpit, full-color heads-up display, next-generation infotainment and navigation systems, 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system
  • Next-generation Audi Connect services with upgraded Wi-Fi, tiered Connect Care, Prime, and Plus subscription structure


2017 Audi A5/S5

  • Final year for A5 and S5 models before complete redesign
  • A5 Coupe models adopt “Sport” as a part of their names
  • Standard S-line Competition body styling, flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters, front and rear parking sensors for A5 Cabriolet and A5 Sport
  • Optional Technology Package adds reversing camera for all models, plus Audi parking system for S5 models
  • New Convenience Package installs heated front seats, auto-dimming side mirrors, passive entry system for A5 Cabriolet and A5 Sport models
  • Updated Black Optic Packages add revised wheels and trim treatments


2017 Audi A6/S6

  • Diesel engine dropped from lineup
  • A6 2.0T equipped with standard S-line styling detail, reversing camera, parking sensors, 18-inch wheels
  • Expanded availability of Black Optic Package for A6 2.0T
  • New A6 3.0T Competition model with Prestige trim, 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters, Quattro with sport differential, sport suspension, sport seats, flat-bottom steering wheel, Black Optic Package, red-painted brake calipers, and slight bumps in horsepower and torque
  • S6 Sport Package adds red-painted brake calipers
  • Driver Assistance Package bundles several technologies designed to assist the driver with the task of driving


2017 Audi A7/S7/RS 7

  • Diesel engine dropped from lineup
  • Next-generation Audi Connect services with upgraded Wi-Fi is standard
  • Premium Plus trim adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone projection, Bose surround sound system, and upgraded wheels
  • Driver Assistance Package contains several driving assistance technologies
  • New A7 3.0T Competition model with same upgrades as listed above for the A6 3.0T Competition
  • Red-painted brake calipers added to S7 Sport Package
  • RS 7 model sees significant performance upgrade in terms of horsepower, torque, and top speed, and includes standard ceramic brakes, sport exhaust system, Dynamic Ride Control suspension, and 21-inch wheels


2017 Audi A8L/S8 Plus

  • Final year before a complete redesign
  • Diesel and W12 engines dropped from lineup
  • Remaining models include A8L 3.0T, A8L 4.0T, and S8 Plus
  • A8L is a luxurious long-wheelbase version
  • S8 Plus performance model is on a shorter standard wheelbase


2017 Audi Q3

  • Premium trim level gains standard equipment, comes with leather, 12-way power front seats, dual-zone climate control, upgraded headlights, heated side mirrors, panoramic sunroof, and parking system plus with front and rear parking sensors
  • Premium Plus trim level adds power folding side mirrors with auto-dimming function and a power rear liftgate
  • Prestige trim level now available with Sport Plus Package installing sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, sport seats, Audi Drive Select driving modes, 19-inch wheels, Black Optic trim


2017 Audi Q5/SQ5

  • Final year before complete redesign
  • Diesel engine and gas-electric hybrid powertrains dropped from lineup
  • Q5 2.0T with Premium Plus trim gains standard 19-inch wheels
  • Q5 3.0T Prestige models add standard adaptive cruise control, sport steering wheel with shift paddles, Audi Drive Select driving modes
  • SQ5 Prestige models add variable-ratio Dynamic Steering as standard equipment
  • New Black Optic Plus Package debuts for SQ5 models


2017 Audi Q7

  • Completely redesigned for 2017
  • Offered with turbocharged 4-cylinder or supercharged V6
  • Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trim levels
  • Standard Quattro all-wheel drive, Audi Drive Select driving modes, next-generation infotainment system, triple-zone automatic climate control, panoramic glass sunroof, power rear liftgate
  • Options include full LED lighting, hands-free rear liftgate, air suspension, Audi Virtual Cockpit, full-color heads-up display, next-generation Audi Connect subscription services, 4-zone climate control, premium sound from Bose or Bang & Olufsen
  • Luxury Package adds premium leather, massaging multi-contour front seats, Alcantara headliner, power soft-close doors


2017 Audi R8

  • Completely redesigned for 2017
  • Most powerful production car from Audi in history
  • Mid-mounted 5.2-liter V10 engine makes 540 horsepower and 398 lb.-ft. of torque in standard tune
  • R8 V10 Plus generates 610 hp and 413 lb.-ft.
  • 7-speed DCT shifts gears in 120 milliseconds, according to Audi
  • Performance-oriented Quattro all-wheel-drive system
  • V10 Plus accelerates to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, achieves top speed of 205 mph
  • V10 Plus includes carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber exterior bits including fixed rear wing spoiler, carbon fiber racing shell seats


2017 Audi TT/TTS

  • Standard equipment now includes reversing camera and heated side mirrors with auto-dimming glass and power folding operation
  • Optional Technology Package gains smartphone projection supporting Apple and Android devices, Navigation Plus system, parking system plus with front and rear sensors, blind spot monitoring system
  • Black Optics Package available for both models, installing 19-inch wheels on TT and 20-inch wheels on TTS, along with blacked-out exterior trim
