New for 2016: Lincoln

Lincoln vehicles continue to get more luxurious every year, and more jam-packed with safety features. No Lincoln model undergoes a radical change for 2016, but all see some change, with the Lincoln MKS cranking out its second generation, featuring some mildly retro styling. The 2016 Lincoln Navigator is considerably reduced in weight, which could cause a noticeable improvement in overall performance.

Following is a list of new or updated features for each 2016 Lincoln model:

2016 Lincoln MKC
  • Sync 3 infotainment system replaces MyFord Touch
  • Maximum tow capacity for the 2.3-liter engine is raised to 3,000 lbs.
  • Premiere trim level features LED taillights, xenon headlights, power-folding side mirrors, and 18-in. painted alloy wheels with P235/50R18 tires
  • Reserve trim level features a panoramic sunroof and power lift gate
  • Select trim level also gets a standard power liftgate
  • White Sands/Espresso interior is available on Select
  • New exterior color options include Black Velvet, Luxe Metallic, and Burgundy Velvet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat
  • Climate package includes windshield wiper de-icer

2016 Lincoln MKS

  • New generation sedan is introduced for 2016
  • Exterior redesign provides a more 1970s look; also adds more chrome
  • Sync 3 infotainment system replaces MyFord Touch
  • New 300-horsepower, 2.9-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine, and available 365-horsepower, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, both work with 6-speed automatic transmission

  • Slight redesign to front grille and rear body
  • Greater use of magnesium and aluminum to reduce vehicle weight
  • Interior seats 6 or 7
  • Sync 3 infotainment system replaces MyFord Touch
  • Exterior colors include White Platinum, Platinum Dune, Bronze Fire Metallic, Ruby Red Metallic, Allure Blue, Ingot Silver, Luxe Metallic, and Black Velvet
  • Engine options include a 3.7-liter V-6 that makes 303 horsepower and 278 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission delivers power to front wheels
  • An EcoBoost engine with all-wheel drive is available
  • Standard 3.7-liter V-6 engine produces 303 horsepower and 278 lb.-ft. of torque
  • New 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine makes 335 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Adaptive steering added for the first time
  • Chassis is revised, and body structure is intended to reduce cabin noise
  • Pre-collision assist warns driver of an imminent crash and applies the brakes
  • 360-degree camera is standard
  • Auto-hold feature keeps vehicle still when sitting in traffic
  • New model offers fully adaptive LED lights
  • Carries over from previous year with few changes
  • Black Velvet replaces Tuxedo Black
  • Light Dune interior color replaces Cappuccino
  • Ebony cabin environment with Hazelnut seats changes to Hazelnut cabin

2016 Lincoln Navigator

  • New lightweight aluminum body reduces vehicle weight by 700 lbs.
  • Revised platform will follow the F-150 platform more closely than previous models
  • Interior features upgraded materials and softer surfaces
  • Sync 3 infotainment system replaces MyFord Touch
