2010 Volvo XC60Critical Knowledge:

2010 Volvo C30: Volvo has cancelled the Custom Build program for the C30 for 2010, but has added standard features to the T5 and R-Design models while reconfiguring option packages.

2010 Volvo C70: Volvo shuffles options and packages for 2010, an abbreviated production run in advance of a restyled 2011 C70 that's due in time for summer. New Dynamic and Multi-media packages are available, and Premium Electric Silver is a new color.

2010 Volvo S40: The 2010 Volvo S40 sees minor changes to standard and optional equipment lists, as well as a new Ice White paint color for the sporty T5, which now comes standard with a manual transmission.

2010 Volvo S80: The 2010 Volvo S80 gets a minor styling update, a new PZEV-rated version of its 3.2-liter inline-6, and a new Sport Chassis option for improved handling. The availability of the Technology package is expanded to all S80 models, and cars ordered with the new Executive package can be equipped with a rear-seat refrigerator complete with two crystal glasses inside.

2010 Volvo V50: For 2010, the sporty V50 T5 AWD R-Design wagon comes with a standard manual transmission, while the 2.4i gains standard automatic climate control and an optional navigation system with satellite radio. New option packages are also available.

2010 Volvo V70: A PZEV-rated 3.2-liter inline-6 is available in the 2010 V70, and a new R-Design model includes sporty design elements, 18-inch alloys and a Sport Chassis suspension. The Technology package is available on all V70s for 2010, and Volvo also has a new Multi-media package with satellite radio, Dynaudio sound and a navigation system.

2010 Volvo XC60: Volvo enters the compact crossover SUV market with the all-new 2010 XC60. Highlights include numerous safety technologies: City Safety, Collision Warning with Automatic Braking, Driver Alert, lane-departure warning and blind-spot information systems are available. The XC60 can even be equipped with a heartbeat sensor that can detect if an intruder is hiding inside the XC60.

2010 Volvo XC70: The 2010 XC70 wagon can be equipped with a PZEV-rated 3.2-liter inline 6-cylinder engine. The optional Technology package is now available on all XC70s, and a new Multi-media package is available with satellite radio, Dynaudio sound and a navigation system. Also, more standard equipment is added to the T6 model for 2010.

2010 Volvo XC90: The XC90 enters its eighth year of production with added standard equipment and three new option packages: Multi-media, Dynamic and Executive. The XC90 V8 R-Design model has been discontinued for 2010.

2010 Volvo C30
Volvo has cancelled the Custom Build program for the C30 for 2010, but has added standard features to the T5 and R-Design models while reconfiguring option packages. A restyled 2011 Volvo C30 is due for an early arrival in calendar 2010.

After a subtle freshening for 2009, the 2010 S40 sees minor changes to standard and optional equipment lists, as well as a new Ice White paint color for the sporty T5, which now comes standard with a manual transmission. Notably, base 2.4i models can be equipped with satellite radio and a navigation system for 2010.

The 2010 Volvo S80 receives notable enhancements this year, including a minor styling update, new Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV) version of the standard 3.2-liter inline 6-cylinder engine, and a new Sport Chassis option for improved handling. The availability of the Technology package is expanded to all S80 models, and cars ordered with the new Executive package can be equipped with a rear-seat refrigerator complete with two crystal glasses inside.

Updated for 2009, the 2010 Volvo V50 carries into 2010 with few changes. The sporty T5 AWD R-Design model now comes with a standard manual transmission, and the standard 2.4i gains automatic climate control as standard and a navigation system with satellite radio as an option. New option packages complete the changes for 2010.
