2010 Ram 1500
Although it was all-new for the 2009 model year-and called the Dodge Ram 1500 at its launch-the Ram 1500 receives many improvements for 2010. These include Dodge's Interactive Decel Fuel Shut-off (iDFSO), which saves fuel, and a new economy light on the dash to encourage efficient driving. There are also several towing enhancements, and new electronics for audio and driver convenience within the cabin.
  • New, fuel-saving Interactive Decel Fuel Shut-off (iDFSO)
  • Available integrated trailer brake controller
  • Optional power-operated trailer mirrors
  • Increased GCWR for some models
  • New iPod connection
  • New electro-chromatic mirrors
  • New 22-inch wheels (R/T models)

2010 Ram 2500/3500
Stepping up to the Ram 2500/3500 ("Heavy Duty") models-the workhorse variants of the Ram 1500-opens up a world of options. The two Ram Heavy Duty trucks continue to use the prior generation's chassis and frame, but with more body options and features. Each is available with a choice of cabs (Regular, Crew and Mega), bigger engines (including bio-diesel compatible), single- or dual-side wheels, and a choice of cargo boxes. While these trucks are targeted at commercial customers, they are still available with a long list of comfort and convenience features. Like the Ram 1500 model, the heavy-duty pickups receive several improvements for the 2010 model year.
  • Quad Cab is replaced by Crew Cab
  • Suspension re-tuned to improve the ride
  • Cummins turbo-diesel receives a new particulate filter to reduce emissions
  • Biodiesel variant offered for fleet buyers
  • 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine is retuned to be more fuel efficient
  • Interior upgraded with heated/ventilated seats, automatic temperature control and memory settings
  • Backseat TV option with a first-in-segment 10-speaker surround system
  • Standard integrated trailer brake controller
  • New larger exterior mirrors
  • Improved aerodynamics to increase fuel economy

2010 Dodge Dakota
The Ram Dakota (aka Dodge Dakota) is a midsize pickup truck with a unique size that makes the model rather special-the competition doesn't offer a truck in this segment. Being midsize in stature, it is nearly as capable as a full-size truck, yet more efficient for daily driving. The Dakota shares its platform with the Dodge Durango. Offered in four different trim levels, in 4x2 or 4x4 drive configurations, all Dakota models feature a standard 3.7-liter V-6 engine. This is the final model year for the Dakota, as it will be discontinued next year.
  • Suspension enhancements to improve the ride
  • Sheduled to be discontinued in 2011
