2010 Porsche Panamera TurboCritical Knowledge:

2010 Porsche 911: Three new models join the lineup, including the grand-touring 911 Turbo, track-ready 911 GT3, and the race-ready 911 GT3 RS. The other 911 models are unchanged.

2010 Porsche Boxster: A new lightweight performance-oriented Spyder model-with a minimalist convertible top-joins the lineup. The Boxster and Boxster S are unchanged.

2010 Porsche Cayman: No changes for 2010.

2010 Porsche Cayenne: No changes for 2010, but a diesel model and a hybrid variant are expected to arrive soon. This is the final model year for the current generation, as an all-new Cayenne model will debut for 2011.

2010 Porsche Panamera: All-new for 2010, Porsche's first 4-door sedan debuts with V-8 power and a long list of standard luxury appointments.


2010 Porsche 911
There are currently more than 15 different 911 models; the unique rear-engine platform is offered in coupe, convertible and open-roof Targa body styles. For 2010, Porsche has introduced its refreshed 500-horsepower 911 Turbo, and updated its track-ready GT3 and race-ready GT3 RS models with even greater performance.

2010 Porsche Boxster
Influenced by the classic Porsche 550 Spyder-the original design inspiration for the Boxster body style-the mid-engine 2-seat roadster adds a modern-day incarnation to its lineup with the all-new, lightweight, and enthusiast-oriented 2010 Boxster Spyder model. The standard and S models are both carryovers for 2010.

  • Spyder features new front and rear fascia and a minimalist convertible top for improved performance and to differentiate it from the Boxster and Boxster S
  • Lightweight Spyder model deletes air conditioning, radio, door panel armrests and other unnecessary bits to save weight
  • Spyder features a standard limited-slip differential, performance upgrades
  • Standard 320-horsepower, 3.4-liter flat-6 engine for Spyder, 10 more horsepower than Boxster S

2010 Porsche Cayman
A close relative to the Boxster, the closed-roof Cayman coupe shares many components with its sibling including engine (although the Cayman gets a slight boost in power), suspension, brakes and transmission. It is unchanged for 2010.

2010 Porsche Cayenne
Porsche's only SUV is the all-wheel-drive Cayenne. The 5-passenger model is offered in seven different trim levels, including two Autobahn-burning turbocharged models. Although they have not been officially confirmed, diesel and hybrid models have both been strongly rumored. This is the final year of this Cayenne platform; an all-new model is expected to debut in 2011. There are no changes to the current models for 2010.
  • Expected Cayenne Diesel 3.0 TDI offers a 3.0-liter V-6 engine rated at 236 horsepower and 405 lb.-ft. of torque-expected to improve fuel economy by 39 percent
  • Expected Hybrid features a supercharged 3.0-liter engine and a 52-horsepower electric motor, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission

2010 Porsche Panamera
The Porsche Panamera, the automaker's first 4-door sedan, was introduced in 2009 as a 2010 model. The three Panamera models are fitted with one of two 4.8-liter V-8 engines and rear- or all-wheel drive. Loaded with standard luxury appointments, the Panamera is offered exclusively with the company's new dual-clutch PDK 7-speed automatic transmission.
