2009 Jaguar XF:
The Jaguar XF is a 4-door sedan that looks like a coup_, and is the first vehicle in Jaguar's lineup to show off the new styling elements that will be the guiding design force of all Jaguars to come. The new XF comes in three trim levels-Luxury, Premium Luxury and Supercharged-all powered by a 4.2-liter V-8 engine that makes 300 hp in the Luxury trims and 420 hp in the Supercharged top-of-the-line model. A 6-speed automatic transmission accompanies the V-8 engine across the lineup. In addition to strong engines, the XF features a long list of high-tech equipment for comfort and driving performance.
Key technologies on the XF include JaguarDrive Control, which allows the driver to select a transmission mode related to throttle input; Jaguar Sequential Shift for sports-car-like shifting via paddles on the steering wheel; and JaguarSense, which features a proximity-sensing control that opens the glovebox or turns on overhead lights without a physical touch. Standard and available luxury touches include interior mood lighting, keyless start, real wood and leather, heated and cooled seats, navigation system, rear camera, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Safety equipment includes six air bags standard, stability control program, a tire-pressure-monitoring system, and large disc brake rotors with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist.
2009 Jaguar XJ:
The XJ sedan carries into 2009 with only a handful of changes. A DVD-based navigation system is standard on XJ8 and XJ L models, as is a standard 320-watt Alpine Premium Surround Sound system and standard Front Park Control. A new special-edition model has been added to the lineup-the XJ Portfolio-that differs from the other five XJ models with a unique exterior and interior appearance that includes 20-inch Selena-style wheels, two exterior paint colors, Portfolio badging throughout the interior, chrome mirror caps, and Sirius Satellite radio. The Portfolio is based on the Super V8 model that comes standard with a 4.2-liter V-8 engine, good for 400 hp, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
2009 Jaguar XK:
While an XKR Portfolio trim was added for 2008, it carries over to 2009 with even more luxury features than the previous coupe and convertible Portfolios. Built up from the XKR platform, it offers 20-inch Selena-style wheels; milled aluminum side power vents; 16-way power seats and adjustable bolsters; exclusive Shadow Gray metallic paint; soft-grain leather seats and instrument panel with contrasted stitching; a Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system; and Portfolio badging on the trunk lid, floormats and door sill. Other changes to the 2009 XK models include standard Front Park Control, power-fold mirrors, auxiliary USB-unit, Sirius Satellite radio, and new exterior paint colors and interior wood veneer options.
