It generates 155 horsepower, and is offered with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The benefit of choosing the SkyActiv engine is a fuel economy rating of 38 mpg to 40 mpg in combined driving, depending on body style and transmission. Compare that to other models, which range from 21 mpg in combined driving for the Mazdaspeed 3, to 28 mpg in combined driving for the Mazda 3i SV with a manual gearbox.
4.) Mazda offers several safety-related technologies for the 2013 Mazda 3. Models equipped with the optional navigation system include e911 emergency notification service, which can help speed rescuers to the scene of an accident.
