2016 Vehicle Dependability Study: Luxury SUVs

By Christian Wardlaw, February 24, 2016
Measuring what has gone right and what has gone wrong with 3-year-old cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans, the annual J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability StudySM (VDS) surveys original owners of vehicles to ask about design- and defect-related problems that occurred during the third year of ownership. This information is gathered, analyzed, and published in the annual VDS, and serves as the basis for the company’s Power Circle Ratings, which give consumers an easily understood visual representation of a vehicle’s performance relative to its competitors in order to assist them during the vehicle selection process.

This buyer’s guide includes the top-rated 2013 luxury SUVs that receive a Power Circle Rating of 4 or 5 out of a possible 5 for vehicle dependability after 3 years of ownership.
