Welcome to the New J.D. Power Cars Website!
It has been a busy summer here at J.D. Power. In the past two months, we've released two of our industry-benchmark automotive studies: our flagship Initial Quality Study (IQS) in June, followed in July by our APEAL Study, which measures owner satisfaction with the performance and design of their new vehicles after 90 days. Last but not least, today we are launching a brand new, totally redesigned consumer auto ratings and research website—www.jdpower.com/cars.
The redesigned site introduces several new features. One feature that we are particularly excited about is the ability for visitors to comment on, “like,” and share articles and other content with friends, family, and other site visitors through a new, integrated social media commenting and sharing tool. By leveraging this technology, we can transform the site from simply providing ratings, news, and insights from our experts to a true, Web-based community of car shoppers and buyers that can share thoughts, opinions, and ideas, which makes for a more engaging and dynamic Web experience for all.
In another first for the site, J.D. Power Cars now features a responsive design, adapting to desktop, tablet, or mobile platforms to provide an optimal user experience, regardless of the device, location, or browser. To date, we’re one of a handful of third-party automotive websites that features this mobile-friendly capability.
While the site may be brand new, many popular features have been carried over or enhanced—new car ratings, new car previews, car buyer’s guides, tips & advice articles, and exclusive content related to our automotive studies, to name a few.
In the not-too-distant future, we’ll be adding even more features to the site such as robust image galleries with original photography, informative videos, and exclusive car reviews with insights from our auto industry and product experts as well as our experienced editorial team.
As we begin this new journey, we’d like to invite our visitors to leave comments and provide constructive feedback on the new site—whether it be positive, negative, or simply humorous—and we’ll do our best to listen to and engage with our growing Web community to bring you even more useful automotive insights.
We’re glad you’re along for the ride.
