Major changes for the 2004 Acura model line-up revolves around all-new 2004 TL and TSX sedans. Positioned as an entry-level sedan for Acura, the 2004 TSX debuts with a strong sport sedan identity thanks to four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock braking system and Vehicle Stability Control. The 2004 Acura TSX is propelled by a 2.4-liter i-VTEC engine producing 200 horsepower. The mid-level Acura TL sedan gains a 270-horsepower, 3.2-liter engine and is available with features such as a DVD Audio 5.1 surround sound system. For 2004, Acura has dropped the 260-horsepower TL Type S model. A new front fascia with projector-style headlights and upgraded taillights are found on the 2004 Acura MDX. An addition five horsepower is squeezed-out of the Acura MDX's engine allowing for a total output of 265 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. Interior enhancements such as a standard navigation system with voice recognition and Acura/Bose sound system are found on the 2004 RL. An improved list of amenities has also been outfitted on Acura's sports car for 2004. A six-disc, trunk-mounted CD changer and keyless entry system are standard on the 2004 Acura NSX supercar.
