Exterior Features
The 2012 Land Rover Range Rover is a luxury full-size SUV that seats 5 passengers and is available in four trim levels. All-wheel drive is standard, as well as a terrain-response system that adjusts the powertrain to the driver's selection of surface, such as mud and ruts. Also standard are a hill-descent control system and hill-start assist.

Interior Features
Standard features on the Land Rover Range Rover include wood trim, leather-appointed seats and dash, and front and rear parking sensors.

Optional Features
Options on the Range Rover include a rear-seat entertainment system; reclining rear seats; upgraded audio system; and the Vision Assist package, which includes blind-spot monitoring, adaptive headlights, and a surround camera system displaying a top-down, 360-degree view of the vehicle.

Under the Hood
All trim levels of the 2012 Land Rover Range Rover are powered by a 5.0-liter V-8 engine rated at 375 horsepower to 510 horsepower--depending on the trim--using premium gasoline. The Range Rover's engine is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Fuel Economy
EPA fuel-economy figures for the 2012 Land Rover Range Rover are 12/18/14 mpg (city/highway/combined) for all trims.

Safety
Standard safety equipment on the Range Rover includes nine air bags; rearview camera; front and rear parking-aid sensors; and a collision-activated switch that unlocks the doors, turns off the fuel pump, and turns on the warning flashers.

To date, neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) have tested the 2012 Land Rover Range Rover.
