The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 carries its specs right in its name. The LP stands for longitudinale posteriore, the position of the engine just behind the cockpit. The 640 represents the horses on tap in its 6.5L V12, which is mated to a standard six-speed manual or optional sequential clutchless manual transmission.
2016,The Murcielago has permanent all-wheel drive, which splits the drive force between the front and rear axles 30/70. Distribution can change based on weight distribution, friction, and more; in extreme situations, up to 100% of the drive force can be shifted to one axle.
2016,"Anti-dive" and "anti-squat" systems are in place to help keep the car stable on braking, which is performed by self-ventilating front and rear discs with vacuum brake boost. Optional ceramic carbon brakes with 6-piston calipers are also available. Of course, the Murcielago also has standard ABS, traction control and electronic brake control.
2016,On the inside, the Murcielago is equipped with leather seats, a Kenwood DVD/MP3/WMA stereo with a 6.5-inch monitor, and nav system. Lamborghini's Ad Personam customization program allows the buyer to select paint, upholstery color, interior trim, and more for the ultimate in personalized sports cars.
2016,If you'd prefer a pre-customized ultra-luxury super sports car, the Murcielago is available this year in a limited-edition Versace trim. The roadster and coupe are both available in a "pastel white" with the Italian fashion firm's Greek key motif on the doors. Seats are white and black leather with the Versace logo and hand-embroidered nappa leather covers the interior surfaces.
2016,Versace and Lamborghini have also extended their partnership to limited-edition branded accessories. The available black matte luggage includes a trolley bag, suit carrier and makeup case. Matching gloves, driving shoes, belt, wallet, hat, and even jeans are also available.
