  • Midnight Plum Pearl paint for non-EV models

Exterior Features
The 2013 Honda Fit is available in standard, Sport and EV trim levels, the latter available only in selected states, in limited quantities, and as a $389 monthly lease.

The Fit Sport adds 16-inch aluminum wheels, fog lights, and a body kit with a rear spoiler. The Fit EV receives unique front styling, aerodynamic design tweaks, unique wheels, and an independent rear suspension. The only color choice for the EV model is Reflective Blue Pearl.

Interior Features
The base 2013 Honda Fit comes standard with air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, and a stereo with a CD player, USB port, and auxiliary audio input jack. The Fit also includes a 60/40-split folding and tumbling rear seat that Honda calls a \"Magic Seat.\"

Fit Sport models add a driver's center armrest, floor mats, map lights, extra stereo speakers, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The Fit EV is equipped with bio-fabric upholstery, automatic climate control, navigation system with Bluetooth calling and music streaming, unique EV instrumentation, and a HondaLink EV smartphone app that allows for remote vehicle charging.

Optional Features
A navigation system with Bluetooth is optional on the Fit Sport.

Under the Hood

A 117-horsepower, 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine is standard for the 2013 Fit, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automatic transmission. Fit Sport models include paddle shifters with the automatic.

The Fit EV is equipped with a 20 kilowatt-per-hour Lithium-ion battery and a 92-kilowatt electric motor. Honda says it offers 82 miles of electric-only range in combined driving, and drivers can choose between Normal, Econ and Sport driving modes. To fully recharge the Fit EV, 15 hours is required when using a standard household outlet. With a 240-volt AC Level 2 outlet, recharging time drops to 3 hours, according to Honda.

Fuel Economy
As this overview is written, the EPA has not officially rated the 2013 Honda Fit's fuel economy. The rating of 118 MPGe for the Honda Fit EV was provided by Honda.

The 2013 Honda Fit is equipped with 6 air bags, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, traction and stability control, and Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) structural construction.

In crash tests performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the non-electric version of the 2013 Honda Fit receives an overall rating of 4 (out of 5) stars. The Fit EV has not yet been tested. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not tested the 2013 Fit, but the structurally identical 2012 model was named a \"Top Safety Pick\" by the Institute.
