The 2010 GMC Savana passenger van is available in two different lengths (a standard 135-inch wheelbase or a long-body 155-inch wheelbase) and in three levels of cargo hauling and towing ability (the standard 1500, the mid-range 2500 and the heavy-duty 3500). The 1500 short wheelbase Savana is available with all-wheel drive.
2016,The 1500 is powered by GM's 5.3L GEN-IV Vortec V8 gas engine, which makes 310 horsepower and 334 pound-feet of torque, now comes standard with flex-fuel capability. On the 2500 and 3500, the 323-horsepower 6.0L V8 is standard. On the 3500, this engine is rated to tow up to 7,400 lb. 1500s continue to use a 4-speed automatic transmission, while 2500s and 3500s receive a new 6-speed automatic transmission that's been paired with revised rear axle gearing to help extend freeway gas mileage.
2016,The Savana passenger van's interior is functional but comfortable, with an expanded driver information center and a decent audio system. Eight-passenger seating, with three rows and front bucket seats, is standard with the shorter wheelbase, while the longer-wheelbase 3500 version is outfitted for 12-passenger seating.
2016,The LT Preferred Equipment Group bundles popular options such as power windows and locks, remote keyless entry, and upgraded upholstery.
2016,StabiliTrak stability control system, which helps maintain control on slippery roads or in abrupt maneuvers, is standard, as are 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, with dynamic rear proportioning for confident braking even when fully loaded. Dual front and head curtain side air bags are also standard.
