The Caliber, a compact 5-door hatchback, has been an entry-level Dodge model since 2007, when it took the place of the Neon. The 2011 model carries over from the previous year, save that stability control and traction control are now standard on all but the base trim.

The 2011 Dodge Caliber is offered in five trim levels. The basic Express trim has 15-inch wheels and cloth upholstery, air conditioning, a basic sound system, some power accessories, auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 4-speaker sound system. Building on the Express are the Mainstreet, Uptown, and Caliber Heat trims, which add larger wheels, leather upholstery, upgraded suspension, and other features. The top-of-the-line Rush trim builds on Caliber Heat, adding a larger engine, automatic climate control, and a rear spoiler. The Rush's audio system employs a touch screen and hard drive. A sunroof and a navigation system are available as stand-alone options. The Caliber offers 48 cubic feet of cargo space, as well as unusual features such as a beverage cooler in the glove compartment, a rechargeable LED flashlight, and stereo speakers that can be pointed outwards for parties.

The standard engine in the 2011 Dodge Caliber is a 158-horsepower, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit that makes 141 lb.-ft. of torque. A 172-horsepower, 2.4-liter engine that produces 165 lb.-ft. of torque is available on the Uptown trim, and standard with the Rush trim. Manual or continuously variable automatic transmissions are available. Official EPA mileage ratings range (depending on engine size and transmission) from 22 to 24 mpg in the city and 27 to 32 mpg on the highway.

Standard safety features on the 2011 Dodge Caliber include anti-lock brakes (disc brakes on the upper trims), stability and traction control on all trims above Express, and side curtain air bags. Front side air bags are optional.

Starting MSRP on the 2011 Dodge Caliber was $17,380.
