Overview

The Buick Enclave is a mid-size, seven-passenger sport utility vehicle that shares a platform with the GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse. Launched in 2008, the Enclave is in its first-generation of production. For the 2011 model year, Buick made minor changes to the four-door by deleting its remote start option and adding a no-cost, six-month trial to OnStar

The Enclave is offered in three different configurations: CX, CXL1, and CXL2. Well-equipped, even in base trim, CX models arrive with cloth upholstery, air conditioning with tri-zone climate control, bi-xenon headlamps, auto-dimming mirrors, power liftgate, heated outside mirrors, Bluetooth phone connectivity, six-speaker audio package, 19-inch wheels, and more. The CXL1 models are upgraded with leather upholstery, heated power front seats, rear parking sensors, back-up camera with mirror-mounted display, and other luxury appointments. The range-topping CXL2 features ventilated front seats, 115-volt power outlet, ten-speaker Bose audio upgrade and more. Major options, which are model specific, include a rear seat entertainment system, dual-pane \"SkyScape\" moonroof, and a navigation system

The Buick Enclave is offered with one engine-a 3.6-liter, six-cylinder rated at 288 horsepower. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, with an all-wheel drive system optional for those seeking more traction in inclement weather. When properly equipped, the Enclave is rated to tow up to 4,500 pounds. The EPA rates the fuel economy of the 2011 Buick Enclave between 16 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, depending on powertrain

The 2011 Buick Enclave CX starts with a base price of about $36,000 and tops out with the CXL-2, which starts around $43,000.
