Tom Hagopian is Vice President, Data Strategy & Analytics for AT&T AdWorks, the advertising sales division of AT&T Entertainment Group (EG). Hagopian is responsible for all data related aspects for AdWorks, the industry leader of data-driven advertising sales.

Hagopian joined AdWorks after the acquisition of DIRECTV, where he was Vice President for Advanced Advertising Sales and launched and managed the nation’s first and largest addressable television platform. Prior to joining DIRECTV in 2012, Hagopian spent more than 20 years in the media industry in a variety of innovative leadership roles. His experience includes 10 years at ESPN, where he launched, and new media product launches at Cablevision, TV Guide, OpenTV and Acxiom.

Hagopian is a pioneer in the advanced advertising field and is an original member of the IAB. He also worked on the initial addressable TV trials in 2003 while at OpenTV.

Hagopian graduated from the University of Michigan, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He holds an MBA from Columbia University. He has won two Emmy awards for Interactive TV Programming and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Producers Guild of America.

He is based in AT&T EG’s New York City office.
