Steve J. Hill was appointed Vice President, GM North America, U.S. Sales, Service and Marketing in February 2014.  In this role, Steve is responsible for sales, service and marketing for Chevrolet, Buick, GMC brands as well as Fleet & Commercial Operations and Sales & Marketing Retail Support.  Prior to his current position, he was the North America Vice President for Customer Care and Aftersales.

Steve began his career with General Motors in 1983 as a District Sales Manager at Cadillac Motor Car Division.

Throughout his career he has held numerous sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility for GM.  These roles included Vice President of Cadillac, U.S. Sales, Service & Marketing; General Manager of Retail Sales Programs; Regional Director of North Central Region; Executive Director of Retail Planning and CRM Marketing; Dealer Network and Sales Promotion as well as extensive field experience.

Steve is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a graduate of Wayne State University, where he earned his MBA.  In addition, he has completed Executive Development programs at Harvard, Wharton and Stanford Universities. 

Steve has also served as the Executive Champion of the Veterans Group of General Motors for the past three years.  The group is focused on recruiting veterans, promoting General Motors vehicles and raising millions of dollars for charities that support wounded veterans.
