Joe Torpey serves as Communications Manager for Jaguar Land Rover North America. He joined the company in October 2011 and reports directly to Kim McCullough, Vice President of Marketing, Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. Torpey is responsible for establishing marketing platforms and strategic direction for both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands at the national, regional and retail level. He also leads the digital marketing strategy and execution for website development, online media, mobile platforms and social media.

Torpey’s team recently won the AdWeek Media Plan of the Year Award for the Best Use of Branded Content ($2 million - $4 million), in recognition of the innovative media strategy and tactics deployed in support of Jaguar’s five-city Art of Performance Tour. The team also recently topped the latest J.D. Power 2016 Manufacturer Website Evaluation Study–Summer, with Land Rover ranked highest in overall satisfaction, followed by Jaguar ranked second.

Torpey has over fifteen years of experience in advertising and building brands, managing successful campaigns and developing digital capabilities. Joe began his career at American International Group, Inc. where he helped pioneer AIG’s first-ever consumer brand awareness campaign on network TV.

After AIG, Torpey served as the Internet Manager of BMW of North America where he led BMW agencies and internal stakeholders in the redesign of bmwusa.com. Torpey also led the launch of the BMW 1 Series online. The campaign received multiple awards including the 2008 IAB Silver Mixx Award for Product Launch and an Effie Award.

Prior to joining Jaguar North America, Torpey was the Director of Digital Marketing at LG Electronics, USA, Inc. 

Torpey graduated from St. Johns University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and currently resides in Glen Rock, New Jersey with his wife and three children.
