As Vice President of Audio Development and Strategy, Doug Sterne provides strategic counsel to marketers to maximize the power of Pandora’s audio ad solutions and leverages feedback from agencies and brands to help Pandora continue to provide innovative ad products. Doug also heads up the Pandora Audio Lab, a testing ground for optimizing audio creative and determining best practices for optimal advertiser and listener experiences. 

A broadcast radio industry veteran, Doug joined Pandora in 2008 as Director of Audio Sales where he launched and oversaw a nationwide network of media professionals focused on delivering custom audio solutions both online and on mobile. Since then, Doug also directed the company’s efforts to get measured and integrated into the ad industry’s most popular media buying software platforms.

Prior to Pandora, Doug served in leadership positions for large media companies like CBS and Clear Channel Online Music and Radio, managing such notable radio brands as KCBS, Radio Alice, and KMEL in San Francisco, as well as WMVP and WLUP the Loop in Chicago.

A longtime resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, Doug co-chairs the IAB Digital Audio Committee and is a member of the MRC Radio Committee.  He is a graduate of Stanford University. His favorite Pandora stations are seeded with songs by Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Allman Brothers, and Eric Clapton.
