Chris Hamer is an award-winning entrepreneur and business leader with 30+ years of experience in technology, entertainment and marketing. His career is highlighted by the brands and companies he has helped bring to life through innovation and creatively connecting brands to consumers. 

Chris has always been at the forefront of the convergence of technology, advertising and entertainment and has been involved with category defining brands such as, OnStar, Cadillac, Clear Channel, iHeart Radio and Sony BMG Music to name a few. Throughout his career he has driven himself and his teams to innovate, to think big and to always keep the needs and wants of the customer in mind.

Currently, Chris is the Founder and CEO of CrowdFlik—the innovative mobile video synchronization app that revolutionizes the way people capture, share, and interact with video captured from mobile devices.  

Prior to starting CrowdFlik in 2012 Hamer served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at the innovative Internet new music platform—OurStage where he led Marketing and Business development. Prior to OurStage Hamer was the Senior Vice President at Clear Channel’s in house client development agency—Katz Marketing Solutions where he was responsible for leading the group that developed and sold cross-platform solutions that harnessed the power of the vast assets of Clear Channel—Radio, Digital, Mobile, Social Media and Word-­of-­Mouth to high level agency contacts and large clients.

Prior to joining Clear Channel in 2009, Hamer was the Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Sony BMG Music where he led the highly profitable group’s business developments and marketing efforts. At Sony BMG Music Chris drove the creation of global brand-­‐enhancing partnerships with a multitude of top-­‐tier advertisers across a wide variety of Sony artists and music.

Prior to joining Sony BMG Music, Hamer held two important senior marketing roles at General Motors. In 2001, he joined OnStar as Marketing Director where he led the company’s repositioning efforts to bring the focus to its core value of ‘safety and security’. Hamer led the development and launch of the highly successful and still running ‘Real Stories’ campaign featuring actual recordings from in-­‐car events to bring the OnStar experience to life. Launched in late 2002, this campaign continues to drive product awareness and consideration to new highs and continues to win awards for effectiveness and creativity.

With the OnStar success at General Motors, Chris was appointed Marketing Director at Cadillac in 2003. At Cadillac Hamer spearheaded the $250 million ‘BreakThrough’ marketing campaign, including signing the first ever music license deal with Led Zepplin for the iconic song “Rock and Roll” that helped make Cadillac relevant to an entirely new generation of luxury customers. Hamer led all aspects of Cadillac marketing efforts including media partnerships, Film and Music integration and dealer group programs.

Prior to General Motors, Hamer was Vice President of Marketing at At Hamer he led the evolution of the digital marketing efforts complimenting the highly successful radio and TV campaigns. Hamer’s team developed innovative ways to acquire and retain customers through the integrated online marketing programs and the joint venture with the online lender

Hamer holds a B.B.A. Marketing and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a MS in Business from The State University of New York at Albany. He resides in Westport, CT with his wife and their four children.
