Beau Boeckmann practically grew up on the showroom floor of Galpin Ford under the tutelage of his legendary father, Bert Boeckmann, who is widely recognized as the most honored and successful automobile dealer in America. While Bert started as a salesperson, working his way up and eventually making Galpin Ford the most honored dealership in history, Beau’s challenge has been to maintain the incredible Galpin culture while expanding the business into the 21st century.

Growing up at Galpin, Beau had the opportunity to work in nearly every area of the dealership, and worked his way up through the ranks to eventually become President and COO, while his father is now Chairman and CEO.

Galpin’s track record of success has been un-paralleled in the automotive retail business. Galpin Ford has been the largest volume Ford dealer for 26 consecutive years, and has won nearly every award and recognition that Ford has ever offered. Galpin Honda became the fastest growing Honda dealership in the country, and now ranks second nationally in sales. Galpin Mazda is also ranked #2 in sales nationally, and Galpin Volkswagen has been ranked in the top 4 nationally in sales since it opened. Galpin Premier brands Aston Martin, Jaguar, Volvo and Lincoln are all in the top 10 nationally in sales. In fact, Galpin has received literally thousands of awards and commendations throughout the years.

Not only does Galpin exceed in sales, but in customer experience as well. When Galpin moved to its current location 50 years ago, Bert opened up the first in-dealership restaurant, The Horseless Carriage. When Galpin Premier opened, Beau helped bring in the first in-dealership full service Starbucks.

Having grown up in a dealership that was so involved with performance and customizing that they coined their own term “Galpinizing”, Beau developed a passion for automobiles and custom cars. In 2006, he opened up Galpin Auto Sports – GAS – That customizes all makes and models, even building classic car resto-mods and restorations, along with their new car customizing. That led to Beau and GAS taking over the #1 rated automotive show and worldwide phenomenon, Pimp My Ride. GAS became world famous, being shown in over 100 countries with over 1 billion views. Beau not only starred in the show, but led the designs and was a Consulting Producer.

The passion continues to this day, even to the point of building the 720hp carbon fiber bodied coach-built super-mustang called the Rocket, developed by GAS and designed by Henrik Fisker!

Beau has also followed in his family’s footsteps in philanthropy and community service, having helped deliver food and medical supplies to Russia and Africa, as well as serving the local community. He was honored by the Boys & Girls Club of San Fernando Valley with their Golden Hands Community Award, the Twice a Citizen Award given by the Los Angeles Police Reserve Corps, and with The Dignity Love and Compassion Award from New Horizons, a community organization devoted to improving the lives of the mentally challenged.

He even received the Petersen Automotive Museum’s first “Visionary Award” and was inducted into the National Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame. Beau also serves on Ford Motor Company’s Product Committee, Aston Martin’s Dealer Advisory Panel, and the Ford Dealers Advertising Association, and he previously served on Lincoln Dealer Council, Saleen’s Board of Directors, and Pasadena Art Center College of Design Advisory Network. He is also a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) Hollywood Chapter.

Beau earned his Bachelor of Science degree from USC in 1992 in their Entrepreneurship program and was on the Dean’s List. He and his wife Mary have 6 children. They don’t get out much.
