2007 Acura TSX

What’s New?
Acura’s TSX entry-level sedan is virtually unchanged for 2007. The car, which is based on the European version of the Honda Accord and thus carries Euro-tuned and sporty dynamic capabilities, launched as a new model in the Acura lineup for 2005. For 2007, the only change is that the TSX comes with a tire pressure-monitoring system.

Overview
The TSX was designed as a sporty compact sedan and was engineered to provide the sort of edgy performance preferred by driving enthusiasts. Its 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine pumps out a spunky 205 hp and is available with either a 5-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Both versions are rated at 22 mpg in the city, with the automatic recording 31 mpg on the highway and the manual 30 mpg.

The TSX is equipped with a racing-style double-wishbone suspension for its front wheels, and features a vehicle stability system designed to help the driver maintain control—even in emergency maneuvers—by electronic monitoring and adjustment of braking and engine parameters. The exterior design includes fog lamps and a sharply terminated rear deck. Nine-spoke alloy wheels enhance the car’s profile view.

Inside, the TSX features a standard hands-free telephone connection, perforated leather seating surfaces, dual-zone automatic climate controls, a power moonroof, power windows and locks, keyless entry, and a steering wheel that tilts and telescopes. The TSX also is equipped with a 360-watt Acura premium sound system with XM satellite radio and an auxiliary audio input jack. The only factory option, other than the choice of two transmissions, is a navigation system with voice recognition technology. The system includes an 8-inch display screen and more than 7 million points of interest, including the Zagat Survey restaurant guide.
