• The Mazda CX-9 was named the 2008 North American Truck of the Year.
• Mazda claims the CX-9 is for young couples, modern families, and couples with grown children who lead an active lifestyle.
• The Mazda CX-9 runs just fine on 87-octane unleaded.
• Using the Mazda CX-9 six-speed automatic transmission gear selector, the driver taps up to downshift and taps down to upshift.
• Mazda’s Active Torque Split all-wheel drive system monitors wheel slippage, steering angle, yaw rate, lateral acceleration, and available driveline torque. Under normal conditions, 100 percent of power goes to the front wheels. Depending on conditions, as much as 50 percent of power can be transferred to the rear wheels as warranted.

Our previous car, a 2006 BMW X5, was a great vehicle but our 2009 CX9 is so much better!More room, better ride and handling and much more power. If I have any complaint it would be the front passenger seat is too high and will not adjust as much as it should. Super car for those looking for a crossover with many uses and loads of creature comforts.
