I have a 2009 Escape Limited. There is an excesssive wind noise that starts around 90 Km/hr and builds to 105 Km/hr and then tappers of to 120 km/hr and then quiet again. Any suggestions? Could the running boards be the problem?

My Ford Escape Hybrid handles like a tightly constructed European car. It's the first American-made car I've bought since 1984, and I'm enjoying it.

I agree about the wind noise being excessive. It comes from the rear hatch door because there is such a big gap on the roof. Otherwise I really enjoy the vehicle. On the highway with the wind coming from the side, the noise is like a door is not shut right. Very annoying.

My 2009 is very impressive. I enjoy the navigation system, especially the telephone connections. Mileage is great for a six and it handles with ease. The Limited is packed with great amenities.

I have a 09 Escape XLT, I find the windnoise bothersome, and also find the windshield washer/wiper in a poor location, I had a 2003 and the washer/wiper was a lot better located
