Why We Drove It: The Audi Q5 called a “Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and the NHTSA says the Q5 receives 5-star crash-test ratings for frontal- and side-impact collisions, in combination with a 4-star rollover rating.
Though the Audi Q5 is a 2009 model, it came to market too late in the year to be included in the most recent J.D. Power and Associates customer satisfaction studies on initial quality, performance, and design.
