The Lincoln MKZ is a mid-size luxury sedan that replaced the Lincoln LS in 2006, the single model year it was known as the Zephyr. Cosmetically updated when its name switched to MKZ in 2007, this entry-level Lincoln is based on the same platform as the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, but with a more powerful V-6 engine under the hood and distinctive styling cues inside and out.

The 2008 Lincoln MKZ is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine making 263 horsepower at 6250 rpm and 249 lb.-ft. of torque at 4500 rpm on regular unleaded fuel. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and drives the front or all four 17-inch alloy wheels.

Standard safety features on the 2008 Lincoln MKZ include six airbags: dual front, dual side and side curtains for front and rear passengers. Antilock brakes, stability control with traction control and a tire pressure monitoring system also come standard.
