Mitsubishi has streamlined its model offerings for the Raider midsize pickup truck for 2007. There is now one Extended Cab model and three Double Cab choices. Two engines will be offered, a V-6 or a V-8, making the Raider the only midsize import pickup truck with a V-8 option. Other changes include an improved second-generation transfer case for the 4-wheel-drive Double Cab. The LS Extended Cab with the Convenience package gets satellite radio and silver wheel center caps. The Raider DuroCross V-6 will include the same satin interior trim found in the V-8, plus P-Metric Rugged Trail tires.

Does every manufacturer need a pickup? Mitsubishi thinks so, and offers the Raider, a redesigned version of the Dodge Dakota pickup. It is evident Mitsubishi designers spent a lot of time distinguishing the exterior styling of its truck from the Dodge. Many styling elements, such as oversized fender flares, a sculpted front hood, and a bold front end, set it apart from the Dakota.
