There’s a new Lincoln MKS flagship slated for the future, which might mark the end of the Town Car nameplate. For now, though, the Town Car moves into 2007 with three new exterior colors as its only change. The shades include Dark Blue Pearl Clearcoat Metallic, Satellite Silver Clearcoat Metallic, and White Chocolate Clearcoat Tri-Coat, which deliver a pearlescent look.

Once again, Lincoln is in the throws of reinventing itself, which means the move away from nameplates with brand equity toward alphanumeric-branded vehicles like MKZ, MKS, and MKX. As Lincoln undergoes its brand transformation, both familiar names and new names can be found in Lincoln’s lineup. The Town Car is a throwback to easier days, when luxury in a sedan meant tons of interior room, a big V-8 powerplant, and a rear-drive platform. All of these elements still embody what the Town Car is all about. No wonder it’s been the choice of limousine and livery companies for decades.
