The Lincoln MKX is an all-new vehicle for 2007. It plays in the Midsize Premium Crossover Utility Vehicle segment and is the first crossover vehicle for Lincoln. The MKX replaces the Aviator and features five-passenger seating, a 3.5L V-6 engine, and a long list of technologically advanced safety and comfort and convenience features. This is also the first time Lincoln has used an alphanumeric designation for its vehicles, as do many other luxury brands. The MKX is scheduled to go on sale in the fall of 2006.
Reviews
Lincoln’s sport utility vehicles (SUVs) traditionally have been truck-based. However, the MKX will offer car-like ride and handling characteristics because it’s based on Ford’s CD3 platform, which is shared with the forthcoming Ford Edge and the current trio of Lincoln Zephyr/Mercury Milan/Ford Fusion sedans.
