The fifth-generation ES—the ES 350—is all-new for 2007. Longer and wider than the 2006 model, it features revised sheet metal, a larger 3.5L V-6 with drive-by-wire throttle control (in which the mechanical link between the engine and throttle pedal is replaced with an electronic connection), a 6-speed automatic transmission, eight standard air bags, and a new navigation system with a backup camera. Additionally, there’s a new standard audio system, a new generation of the optional Mark Levinson audio system, and a panorama glass sunroof.
