Honda made significant updates to its Pilot sport utility vehicle (SUV) for 2006. The only changes for 2007 are new colors: Nimbus Gray Metallic, Dark Cherry Pearl, Aberdeen Green Metallic, and Formal Black.

Honda’s midsized SUV is the Pilot, and it’s based on the highly regarded Acura MDX platform. Power comes from a 244-hp, 3.5-liter V-6. A 5-speed automatic transmission feeds either the front wheels (standard) or all four wheels. Three trim levels are available: LX, EX, and EX-L. Each comes with side curtain air bags that cover all three rows of seating. Vehicle stability assist, anti-lock brakes, and front and side air bags for the driver and front-seat passenger also are part of the safety package.
