The Charger is
Dodge’s largest sedan and is built on the same platform as the
Chrysler 300 sedan and the Dodge
Magnum wagon. Like the Magnum, it has a sportier design than the more formal
Chrysler version. The Charger name recalls the muscle-car era of the 1960s. The Charger is available with a Hemi V-8 engine and has seating for 5. While most Chargers are powered only by their rear wheels, an available all-wheel-drive (AWD) system sends 38 percent of the engine’s torque to drive the front wheels. The Charger is offered in three standard line models and the high-performance SRT8.
