The Chrysler Pacifica is part station wagon, part minivan and part Sport Utility Vehicle. It's an interesting concept that provides room for six passengers without the minivan stigma that traumatizes so many young drivers. Like the first Chrysler minivans, the Pacifica started a new segment that is quickly gaining in popularity. Ford's Freestyle, though more SUV-like, is a competitor to the Pacifica, and Mercedes-Benz's R-Class embodies much of the same design elements in a much pricier package. The option of all-wheel drive, a feature no longer offered on Chrysler's minivans, offers another compelling reason to buy.
