Volkswagen launched the all-new Tiguan in the summer of 2008 as a 2009 model. The compact 4-door crossover SUV followed in the steps of its larger sibling, the Volkswagen Touareg 2. The Tiguan offers front- or all-wheel drive and a standard 4-cylinder powerplant with a choice between a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Designed to be sporty and fun to drive, Volkswagen calls the Tiguan “…the GTI of compact sport utility vehicles.”
