The 2009 Volkswagen Passat is offered in either sedan or wagon body styles. While the 2008 model was offered in Turbo, Komfort, Lux or VR6 variants, Volkswagen has significantly simplified the lineup for 2009 to include just one trim level: Komfort. Additionally, with the elimination of the 3.6-liter V-6 engine, all models now share the identical turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and 6-speed automatic “Tiptronic” transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
