Sharing mechanicals with its Hyundai Tucson relative, but wearing some of the automaker’s freshest sheetmetal, the 2011 Kia Sportage debuts with a new 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. While the powerplant is smaller that its predecessor’s 2.7-liter, the new engine makes more power and is more fuel efficient—whether mated to a manual or automatic 6-speed transmission. The new Sportage is offered in front- or all-wheel drive configurations.
