GMC’s biggest pickup offering arrives with an all-new range-topping Denali trim level option—a first for the GMC HD model. Under the hood of the workhorse is a thoroughly revised 6.6-liter Duramax V-8 diesel engine rated at 397 horsepower and 765 lb.-ft. of stump-pulling torque. The engine is more fuel efficient and now runs cleaner (thanks to urea exhaust injection), says GMC. The transmission is a heavy-duty Allison 1000 six-speed automatic.
