Slotting in below the compact X3 is BMW’s newest entry-level CUV called the X1. The five-passenger sport-utility will debut this fall in Europe with a choice between rear- and all-wheel drive (BMW’s xDrive system) and a selection of engines. According to BMW, the all-new X1 is designed to set benchmarks in efficiency, comfort, utility, and driving dynamics.
