2009 Mercedes-Benz G-Class
The boxy G-Class is a traditional off-roader with rugged looks and the enhanced heavy-duty equipment to back it up. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2009, the off-roader received a minor facelift this year with a new grille and several other enhancements. The stability control system was updated, and the off-roader now features hill-start assistant. The interior received updated telematics, standard designer leather upholstery, and the option of both cooled and heated seats. With a bump in displacement and power, the G550 replaces the G500 as the standard model. Mercedes-Benz also increased the power of the supercharged 5.5-liter V-8 engine under the hood of the high-performance G55 AMG. It is now rated at 500 hp.
