2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
Significantly facelifted for the 2009 model year, the SL-Class model lineup includes the 8-cylinder SL550 and the 12-cylinder SL600—they represent the flagship convertibles for Mercedes-Benz. For the new model year the 2-seaters receive revised headlamps to complement their updated front bumper and grille. The steering has been recalibrated and improved with a variable-ratio rack to reduce the driver’s steering inputs for more comfort. Bi-Xenon headlamps are now standard, as is the Intelligent Light System. The interior receives better seats, a new steering wheel, and a restyled instrument panel with an updated COMAND system. The SL550 gets a new 18-inch wheel design, and the S600 gets redesigned 19-inch wheels. All changes, with the exception of the new wheels, have been carried over to the two high-performance SL63 and SL65 AMG models as well.
