What's New for 2009: Infiniti

The popular Infiniti G35 sedan gets renamed the G37 for 2009 as the automaker fits the 3.7-liter V-6 engine from the coupe under its hood. Horsepower is bumped to 328 (22 more than the 2008 model). In addition, a new 7-speed automatic transmission replaces the outgoing 5-speed automatic improving acceleration, efficiency and fuel economy, the automaker says. A 6-speed manual transmission is still available on the G37 6MT S model. All 2009 G37 models will receive Infiniti’s “Scratch Shield” self-healing paint.
