2009 Dodge Caliber
The Caliber was introduced as a new hatchback to replace the Neon sedan for the 2007 model year. The lineup added the high-performance SRT4 for the 2008 model year. Given these recent developments, the Caliber gets only minor changes for 2009. All-wheel drive is no longer offered, but anti-lock brakes become standard on the SXT model. Dodge’s UConnect Tunes hard-drive radio and UConnect GPS hard-drive radio with navigation system are now offered for the standard line models, while the high-performance SRT4 model adds UConnect Tunes, Sirius satellite radio, an electronic vehicle information center, and Dodge’s reconfigurable display with Performance Pages as standard equipment. All but the SRT4 also get additional insulation and a retuned exhaust system to reduce noise. Among the usual equipment shuffling in the various option packages is the addition of Dodge’s MusicGate sound system in the SXT’s Sport package.
