2009 Bentley Brooklands
An all-new model for 2009, the Brooklands marks Bentley’s return to the ultra-luxury coupé market. The most expensive model in the British automaker’s lineup—and with only 550 examples to be built, the rarest—the 2009 Bentley Brooklands coddles driver and passenger in expected opulent luxury including the finest wools, leathers and wood trim. At the heart of this large luxurious automobile is an old-school cam-in-block engine that traces its roots back to 1959. Thoroughly updated, and with modern electronics and twin turbochargers, the 6.75-liter V-8 engine is rated at 550 hp and 737 lb.-ft. of torque. This is enough power to propel the nearly 3-ton Bentley to 60 mph in just 5 seconds, towards a claimed top speed of 184 mph.
