Crash Test Highlights:
Although the “crossover” moniker wasn’t part of the Endeavor when Mitsubishi
first introduced it in 2004, the size and features of this SUV certainly put it in that new and often misunderstood category. For 2008, the Endeavor is mostly carryover from last year, though front-wheel-drive (FWD) models now include available stability and traction control, which has always been standard on all-wheel-drive (AWD) models. The Endeavor offers seating for 5 and a maximum of 76.4 cubic feet with the second-row seats folded.
The 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor is available in LS and SE models, in FWD or AWD. Both are powered by a 3.8-liter V-6 engine that produces 225 hp and 255 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is transferred through a 4-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control and clutchless manual shift mode. The Endeavor is capable of towing up to 3500 pounds.
Advanced dual-stage front air bags; torso-protecting, seat-mounted front side air bags; and head-protecting curtain side air bags with rollover deployment are standard on the 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor. Also standard are a tire-pressure monitor; anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution; traction control; and electronic stability control.
