2009 Nissan Quest
The earliest Nissan Quest models arrived in 1993 as a successor to the short-lived Nissan Axxess van. Now in its third generation (last redesigned for 2004), the 7-passenger Nissan minivan matches the class-defining Chrysler minivan in size, and the competition in power with its standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine and 5-speed automatic transmission. In EPA testing, the Nissan Quest earned ratings of 16 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. In our 2008 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, designed to measure consumer delight with the design, content, layout and performance of their new vehicles, the Nissan Quest ranked among the top three models in its segment. Likewise, in our 2008 Initial Quality Study (IQS), the industry benchmark for new-vehicle quality measured at 90 days of ownership, the Nissan Quest again ranked near the top of its segment. In government crash testing, the Quest earned “5-star” crash test scores from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). After a significant refresh in 2007, the Nissan Quest only receives minor updates for 2009, including more standard features on the entry-level models.
