2009 Infiniti G37
The Infiniti G37 is a rear- or all-wheel-drive (AWD) sedan with a 6-cylinder powerplant and a comprehensive standard features list. When the original G35 arrived on the scene in 2003, it was benchmarked as a direct competitor to the BMW 3 Series. Today, it is a bit larger and roomier than its competitor—it is almost the same size as a BMW 5 Series—nearly putting it in a league by itself. Available in coupe or sedan body styles, with manual or automatic transmissions and an optional AWD system, the G37 is not only Infiniti’s best-selling model, but easily its most configurable. The Infiniti G37 has proven its high level of initial quality, as witnessed by its top-three ranking in its segment in our 2008 Initial Quality Study (IQS), designed to measure new-vehicle quality after 90 days. The 2009 model year marks the introduction of the G37 Sedan (the engine was enlarged from 3.5 liters to 3.7 liters), and the all-new G37 Convertible. New 7-speed automatic transmissions are under the hood, and AWD is available on the G37 Coupe for the first time.
