2009
Infiniti M-Series
With the Infiniti Q45 out of the lineup, the Infiniti M has
assumed the role as Infiniti’s flagship sedan. Launched
as a 2006 model, the M-Series is offered with a powerful 6- or
8-cylinder powerplant and rear- or all-wheel drive (the AWD system
features Nissan’s ATTESA E-TS technology which is shared with the Nissan GT-R supercar). The 6-cylinder M35 and
8-cylinder M45 are luxuriously equipped with standard leather seating
and convenience features, even in standard trim, while innovative
options include active cruise control and a lane-departure warning
system. The M35, with its standard 6-cylinder powerplant, earned EPA
fuel economy estimates of 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. In our
Initial Quality Study (IQS), which measures new vehicle quality at 90
days, the M-Series shared the No. 1 ranking in its segment. After
significant upgrades for the 2008 model year, the 2009 Infiniti M
remains mostly unchanged.
