2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
Luxurious and sporty, the CLK-Class replaced the outgoing E-Class coupé in the mid-1990s. Smaller than the outgoing coupé, the CLK retained most of the styling and luxury amenities from the E-Class model, making the car even more popular among consumers and earning a top-three ranking in its segment in the 2007 IQS, an award reserved for those models with high initial quality measured after the first 90 days of ownership. The CLK-Class also ranked among the top three models in its segment in the 2007 APEAL study. The EPA has assigned fuel-economy ratings of 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway to the CLK350 with automatic transmission. For 2008, Mercedes is adding a powerful race-inspired model called the CLK AMG Black Series, and adding sport suspension with 18-inch wheels to the standard model.
