What's New

Coming off a major freshening for 2005, Volvo drops the 2.4 model from the S60 line this year, making the 2.5T the new base trim. The 2.5T AWD receives a new Instant Traction all-wheel-drive system, updated alloy wheels, and the T5 trim gets fresh 18-inch alloys as well. Willow Green is added to the color palette, and the power moonroof, leather seating surfaces, Sport Body Package, and rear park assist have been absorbed into various package groups.

Reviews

Volvo’s S60 sedan is available in three trim levels: base 2.5T, all-wheel-drive 2.5T AWD, and the top-line T5. The 2.5T and 2.5T AWD versions come with a 208-hp, 2.5L, inline-five-cylinder engine with a light-pressure turbocharger that delivers power to the wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission or optional Geartronic 5-speed.
The S60 sedan showcases Volvo's ongoing commitment to changing the way its cars are viewed. The car's sleek lines and its series of turbocharged engines place the sedan squarely in line with the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Lexus IS300 and Jaguar X-Type, a league in which the previous generation of boxy Volvo cars never played. Combining roomy interiors, class-leading ergonomic front seats and a litany of standard safety features, the S60 has much to offer. The S60 line runs the gamut from the spirited 2.5T family sedan to the tire-smoking terror that is the S60 R.
